Prostitution is legal in Holland, and in Amsterdam most of it is concentrated in the Red Light District where it has enjoyed a long tradition of tolerance.
Since October 2000, window prostitutes have been allowed to legally play their trade. Today, prostitutes in the Netherlands are also taxpayers. Unfortunately, discrimination is still very much part and parcel in this trade as many prostitutes report that some banks even refuse to grant mortgages for example. However, now as a legal profession, the government ensures that all prostitutes are able to access medical care and work in better conditions by regulating and monitoring working practices and standards. Help is also at hand in the district itself thanks to the Prostitution Information Center. Also, contrary to popular belief, the RLD is actually the safest area in Amsterdam as clusters of policemen, and private bodyguards employed by the girls themselves are always on duty.

NextGen PC Design

As part of the process of NextGen PC Design Competition with the support of Microsoft was represented by a prototype of a flexible notebook T-Horizon (Touch-horizon). The laptop in size and form like a normal folder (in the folded dimensions of the device 255h185 mm), has two flexible multi-touch display, 3D-projector and the embedded web-camera.

Naked against San Fermin Festival

In Pamplona (Spain) PETA activists and Animas Naturalis had a bloody campaign against the entertainment in the days of the festival of St. Fermin in which traditional suit running with bulls through the streets of the city.

Dozens of people ( men and girls ) on the central square of the city poured paint on their bodies like blood. The aim of the activists – to make the ban corrida and street race with bulls.

In the Spanish city of Pamplona started the holiday of Saint Fermin (San Fermin Festival) ( san Fermin ), famous for its «enserro» – runs the bulls through the streets of the city. Race bulls in Pamplona is held annually from 6 to 14 July. These days, people in crowds take to the streets, drink wine, sing songs, but one of the most striking element is the traditional running of bulls through the streets of the pen town of San Domingo to the scene to battle the bulls “Plaza de Toros.”
